Heating, Air Conditioning and Indoor Air Quality Products
Action Heating & Air Conditioning knows what manufacturers can be trusted to provide the type of reliable performance we demand for our customers. Although we have the experience required to service and repair any type of HVAC equipment, there are certain manufacturers that we highly recommend when a new system or add on components are needed.
An air conditioner sits outside the home, and is responsible for compressing refrigerant with chills it. The chilled refrigerant is then pumped inside to the indoor coil. Air conditioner efficiency is measured by a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the air conditioner.
Electric Heat Pump
An electric heat pump is similar to an air conditioner. It can chill refrigerant in the same way to provide cooling. However, a heat pump can also heat your home. A heat pump absorbs heat energy from the outside air, and uses this to heat the refrigerant. The heated refrigerant is then sent inside to the air handler (or fan coil).
Thermostat & Zoning
Thermostats now offer advanced features such as switching between heating sources depending on fuel cost, remote access, 7-day programming, and more. Zoning allows individual control over different areas of your home for increased comfort and energy savings.
Air Handlers / Fan Coils
A fan coil or air handler is used with an air conditioner only or heat pump only split system installation. The air handler contains the indoor coil that holds refrigerant, and a fan motor to move air through the chilled coil and back into the home. Variable speed fan motors make for quiet operation.
The Mitsubishi Mini-spit ductless system is ideal for residential and commercial applications where traditional ducting is not possible for a room or office. Ductless systems can even be used for simple zoning, and Mitsubishi offers units with efficiency ratings up to 26 SEER!
Indoor Air Quality
Modern homes and buildings are built to be energy efficient, but this traps toxins, mold, viruses and other air borne toxins inside, cycling them into every part of your home. Indoor air quality products integrate into your HVAC system to purify, refresh and protect the air your family breathes.
Packaged HVAC System
When you don't have much extra space in your home, a packaged system can be the ticket. Packaged systems can include a furnace, air conditioner or heat pump all in one big, you guessed it, package. They are typically not as efficient as a normal split system, but are ideal for space constrained environments where a single foot print is needed.
